아이는 그림책을 하나의 놀잇감처럼 인식합니다. 그림책 속에 나와있는 다채로운 요소들을 반복적으로 탐색하려고 하지요. 특히, 엄마, 아빠와 함께 그림책을 매체로 이루어지는 놀이 경험은 ‘책’이라는 것에 즐거움을 느끼며 독서습관의 기초를 다져주게 됩니다.
‘독서습관’이란 어느 날 갑자기 형성되는 것이 아니에요.
단 한 권의 책이라도 아이와 함께 눈을 마주치고 이야기하며 그 속에 표현되는 다양한 흥미 요소들을 ‘놀이’를 통해 경험한다면 그림책 한 권이 아이에게 전달하는 에너지는 매우 크답니다.
